Included in the purchase price, is one blade and one aluminum shaft.   All “Butt Busters” come with a double bevel blade.  The manufacturer suggests purchasing an additional shaft and blade in order to stage rolls for cutting, rather than having to continuously switch the same shaft every time.  Under normal conditions the blade and shaft will last a long time although the blade will have to be sharpened monthly.  The only other maintenance required is to grease the machine regularly. Silicone spray on the blade works really well to cut the rolls and will increase the blade’s cutting life as well as reduce stress on the hydraulics.
